Key learning outcomes include gaining proficiency in performing common gastrointestinal surgeries using 3-D printed anatomical models, mastering stapling and suturing techniques, and understanding the essential aspects of upper GI anatomy and radiology. The course covers surgeries such as reflux surgery, achlasia cardia surgery, and laparoscopic esophagectomy among others. Additionally, participants will learn energy sources, tissue approximation, access techniques, and complications management.
The curriculum includes webinars, panel discussions, and small group discussions for in-depth understanding. Hands-on experience will be gained through dry lab training and wet lab sessions. Live surgical demonstrations and master videos will further enhance learning. The course culminates in an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) and practical assessments to evaluate skills and knowledge.
